CFHS Choral Music
The Cuyahoga Falls High School's choral music program is a wonderful group of classes dedicated to enriching teenager's vocal and choral ability. There are many classes that Cuyahgoga Falls High School offers for students interested in the choral arts. The classes offered are The Freshman Treble Choir, The Women's Chorus, The Men's Chorus and The A Capella Choir. There are also two classes for students that are looking for more to learn about their solo singing abilities. These classes are Voice Class and Musical and Opera Theater Class.
CFHS also offers extra curiculars in the choral arts such as The Elites, The Melody Men and Melodettes, and the Spring Musical. The Elites is an all senior choir that participates in many performances around the comunity. The Melody Men and Melodettes, also known as the M&M's, is high school's auditoined based show choir. It is made up of 10th through 12th graders, who go to competitons and invitationals for show choir. The Spring Musical is picked every year and is performed by actors and actresses who have auditioned for a role in the show.
The director of the choral classes is Jesse Lange. He started his career at CFHS in 2008. For the last six school years the choral department participated at the OMEA Large Group Adjudicated Event and select singers from the Voice Class attended Solo and Ensemble. All ensembles earned Superior and Excellent ratings at the OMEA Large Ensemble Adjudicated Event at the District and State Level. This year will be another banner year for the department and the student involved there in.
